HorseSource.ie debuts Capallir honouring the legacy of the Irish Horse Register
Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) today unveiled a major upgrade to HorseSource.ie: an advanced horse search branded Capallir a respectful nod to the storied heritage of the Irish Sport Horse and Irish Draught horse, more recently joined by the Irish Sport Pony and Irish Cob studbooks. This database feature is long championed by Irelands breeders and a welcome return.Capallir (Ca-pul-Or) the Irish (Gaelic) for Golden Horse is the practical innovation the industry has been asking for, and one that Horse Sport Ireland is pleased to be able to provide.Since the migration to HorseSource.ie last year breeders have asked for a return of this powerful, search tool. Capallir answers that callcombining pedigree data with clean design and faster resultsso breeders, producers, and owners can make quicker, data-informed decisions.Key benefits at a glanceSmarter discovery: Filter by breed, colour, sex, year of birth, classification within seconds.Depth of pedigree: Clear, readable lineage views with quick links to notable relatives and progeny.Snapshots: At-a-glance indicators to help you spot key data such as SNP tested, % Thoroughbred blood, number of progeny, TIH Status, etc.Honouring the past, evolving for todayCapallir is our way of recognising the Irish Horse Registers foundational role while delivering a modern tool that reflects how the sport horse world works today, said Dr. Sonja Egan. We know breeders have wanted this capability back, it has taken considerable time to build the search functionality, and were delighted to have it live this weekend.
