Jazz is one of our junior sales specialists and in her free time show jumps with her horses.Product: Kentucky All Weather Waterproof Pro 0g Turnout RugSize & Colour: 6ft6 NavyDate of Review: 18th June 2025What were your first impressions? When I first unpacked the Kentucky All Weather Waterproof Pro 0g Turnout Rug, I couldimmediately tell it was high quality. The outer fabric felt incredibly tough and durable. It had a weight and texture that gave me confidence it would stand up to serious wear and tearespecially as she tends to be hard on turnout rugs, often putting their durability to the test. The artificial rabbit skin is soft to the touch but clearly designed to be strong and breathable. It felt like something that would be gentle and help keep the horse comfortable without rubbing.Overall, my first impression was that this rug was really well made and built to last and afterusing it, it definitely lived up to that. How was the sizing & fit?The sizing of the Kentucky All Weather Waterproof Pro 0g Turnout Rug was true to themeasurements provided, which made choosing the right size straightforward. The anatomically shaped design really helped it fit snugly and comfortably on my horse, without any bunching or excessive looseness. It stayed securely in place during movement, thanks in part to the two front closures and cross surcingles. The fit was excellent, allowing my horse freedom to move while keeping the rug stable and well-positioned.How did you test the product?I tested the Kentucky All Weather Waterproof Pro 0g Turnout Rug over several weeks in avariety of weather conditions, including heavy rain, strong winds, and cool mornings. My goalwas to see how well it held up in real use, both in terms of durability and how comfortable it was for my horse.I was impressed by the tough 1680D outer material. Its clearly built to last and didnt let anywater through, even after hours in the rain. The windproof feature also lived up to its claims, my horse stayed warm and dry, even when the weather turned rough. What really stood out to me was the lining. It is soft, breathable, and adds just enough warmth without causing my horse to sweat. It also didnt cause any rubbing or discomfort, which has been an issue with other rugs in the past. An added benefit was how well it preserved the shine of her coat, something that can be difficult with a grey horse. What was your favourite feature? One thing that stood out to me during testing was how well this rug balances performance with practicality. The rug stayed surprisingly clean even after turnout in muddy paddocks, the outer fabric seems to resist dirt and is easy to brush off, which saves a lot of time.Though its a 0g rug, the lining adds more warmth than I expected. Its ideal for transitionalseasons or layering in colder months. I liked that it kept my horse warm without overheatingeven after extended wear.I found this rug to be a reliable, high-quality option for wet and windy conditions. Itswell-designed, fits beautifully, and gave me peace of mind knowing my horse was comfortable and protected. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it as part of any all-weather turnout setup.Would you recommend it to a friend?I would definitely recommend the Kentucky All Weather Waterproof Pro 0g Turnout Rug. After testing it in all conditions, Ive been really impressed with how well it performs. The materials are high-quality, and all the little details such as the soft lining and secureclosures, show that a lot of thought went into the design. If youre looking for a rug that canhandle tough weather while keeping your horse dry, warm, and happy, this ones definitely worth the investment.Shop the Kentucky All Weather Waterproof Pro 0g Turnout Rug NavyTried & Tested: Kentucky All Weather Waterproof Pro 0g Turnout RugFind out what our junior sales specilist Jazz thought of the Kentucky All Weather Tunrout in her Redpost tried and tested review.Tried & Tested: WeatherBeeta Sweet Itch Shield Combo Neck Fly RugFind Kates tried and tested review of the WeatherBeeta Sweet Itch Shield Combo Neck Fly Rug White/Blue Tried & Tested: Redpost Biotin ExtraClaire has struggled maintaining her horse Stans mane growth and strength and was recommended Redpost Biotin Extra to try.
