Horse Sport Ireland would like to issue an update in relation to the National Stallion Showcase, scheduled for April 12th in Emerald Equestrian Centre. The National Stallion Showcase is funded under National Breeding Services, by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. Due to several late withdrawals, and having assessed the level of remaining entries, HSI feel that the numbers are not viable to host the 2025 National Stallion Showcase. HSI want to ensure all events are worthwhile for both the breeders, spectators, and suppliers. Therefore, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel the Stallion Showcase and reassess for an event in 2026. HSI would like to acknowledge all breeders, Stallion owners and Trade suppliers for their interest and effort in entering the showcase. HSI wish you the very best for the 2025 breeding season.
