Tried & Tested: Shires ARMA OXI-ZONE Tendon Boots
Rhi, one of our Redpost Affiliates, also known as Riding With Rhi, is a corporate strategist with a six year old Irish Draught, with whom she takes part in riding club activities and low level dressage.Photo credits: @paigesandersphotographyRhis Rhi-viewI bought Harley as a five year old in October 2023 and weve been taking our time to build up the basics and our relationship. When it came time to start jumping more frequently, I knew I wanted a pair designed specifically for jumping, but Im also conscious of heat in the legs.Browsing a few options recommended by Redpost, I was drawn to the ARMA OXI-ZONE Tendon Boots, primarily because they boast temperature regulation alongside the next-generation protection. The directional venting of the outer shell and open structure fabrics keep air circulating all around the legs to dissipate heat and reduce moisture levels.Photos credits: @equipassion_ukBeyond the excellent temperature regulation, the boots have excellent protection features the FlexFit TPU moulded strike pad and mesh panels over the ventilation panels that prevent penetration of sharp objects and debris. I also like the fact that the inside of the boots are soft via a foam inner with waffle weave wicking lining allowing for shock absorption, comfort, but again not at the price of heat. The outer shell makes them easy to wipe clean and the elasticated billet closures make for quick whipping on and off at home and away. Finally, the branding is subtle and smart simple shapes and colours which make for a put-together look. The boots are well priced and offer peace of mind.
