    McMahon and Moloney also among international winners Mikey Pender has provided the Underwriting Exchange Ireland Show Jumping team with a huge boost ahead of tomorrows inaugural Longines League Of Nations final in Barcelona, by winning the prestigious five-star Grand Prix with Irish Sport Horse HHS Calais late last night. Kildare man Pender, who is the ranked fourth in the FEI world rankings for U25 show jumpers, and the Bravo Hughes-owned Calais, bred in Kilkenny by Ita Brennan, are part of chef dequipe, Michael Blakes five-strong squad bidding to secure overall team honours having topped the standings at the end of the qualification series. Daniel Coyle with Legacy, Denis Lynch and Vistogrand, Mark McAuley riding GRS Lady Amaro (ISH) and Cian OConnor with Fancy De Kergane complete the squad.     Luxury fun ride in Essex returns
    Twenty-two horses and riders enjoyed a luxury fun ride around the grounds of a countryside hotel in Essex when the Down Hall Hotel Ladies and Gentlemens Hack took place for the second time in August.Riders were encouraged to dress for the occasion in their finest and most fashionable attire and had the opportunity to partake in a photoshoot in their finery in front of the hotel ahead of the ride.Rachel Staples and Buddy, Best Turned Out award winnersNIKON D750 f/8 1/2000s 98mm ISO400The best turned out prize was awarded to Rachel Staples in her elegant concours delegance outfit with her grey gelding Buddy.Participants rode in pairs or trios and were encouraged to ride at a leisurely pace as they followed a 5.5 mile marked trail through parts of the hotels 110-acres of woodland and open fields. There were opportunities to trot and canter as well as some optional cross-country jumps.Food and musicRiders were treated to brunch bites before setting off and enjoyed afternoon tea and live jazz on the terrace on their return while the horses received carrots from the Down Hall Kitchen Garden. The event was sponsored by Hunt & Hall and Baileys Horse Feeds.The Down Hall Hotel Ladies and Gentlemens Hack is the brainchild of Camilla Sheeley of Glowments Wellness Events who partnered with Down Hall to create the ride which ran for the first time last year.Down Hall is such a landmark manor and estate, steeped in a rich history of royalty, ladies and gentlemen, of which the vast majority rode, that it seemed fitting to bring a little bit of that unique ancestryback to life.     The Underwriting Exchange Irish Show Jumping Team finished fourth in the final of the inaugural Longines League of Nations in Barcelona this afternoon. Michael Blakes team of Denis Lynch, Daniel Coyle, Mikey Pender and Cian OConnor scored a total of 20 faults, leaving them behind winners Germany on 12, The Netherlands on 16 and Sweden also on 20 faults. It was the culmination of an excellent campaign in which Ireland topped the league table, and Blake was ultimately satisfied with the competition as a whole, while left feeling that the final was one that got away from his team. He said: Not to be today, we had some bad luck at critical times and made some unforced errors, which just left us with that little bit too much to do.
