Two horses in Michigan recently tested positive for strangles. The horses live in Berrien and Washtenaw counties.In Berrien County, a 16-year-old mare was confirmed positive on July 16 after developing clinical signs on July 13, including an abscess, weight loss, and decreased appetite. She is recovering, and three horses are exposed.In Washtenaw County, a 19-year-old Thoroughbred gelding tested positive on July 2 after developing a fever and nasal discharge on June 26.
