This years Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials (1821 September) will play host tothe Agria FEI Eventing European Championships, marking the return of this exciting event to British soil for the first time since Blair Castle a decade ago. Additionally, Blenheim will host the GFS Saddles eight- and nine-year-old class, which has long been a proving ground for up-and-coming horses and riders. Following in reverse to the Europeans schedule, with this classs showjumping on the Saturday and the cross-country on the Sunday, visitors are guaranteed a weekend packed with top-level sport from start to finish.Another highlight returning toBlenheim is the evoke EventerChallenge, a showcase for grassrootsriders representing Pony Clubs andriding clubs across the country, and boasting a hybrid cross-country/showjumping format.The showground will open from Wednesday 17 September, whenthe first horse inspection and the ceremonial parade of nations will take place. From then on, the Europeans timetable builds, with dressage running onthe Thursday and Friday, followed by cross-country action on Saturday and the showjumping finale on Sunday.
