But today, were honoring a horse from the heart of our sport, a schoolmaster and confidence-builder, a teacher, experience-giver and friend to many, Buckharo, who has passed away peacefully at home, aged 25. Bucky was the kind of eventer who never said no, competing at 4* with Australian rider Kate Chadderton before taking up his ultimate role teaching so many how to run and jump, and have fun, and not be scared. Fittingly, his last student was Kates daughter, Mia.
