Defender Burghley Horse Trials 2025 takes place from Wednesday 2 September and concludes on Sunday 6 September, and eventing fans around the world will be keen to follow along with the action as it unfolds.If you cant attend the last British CCI5* of the year in person, there is only one way to watch it all via Burghley TV.An annual subscription to Burghley TV costs 25 and all of the eventing action, including the horse inspections and final prize giving, will be shown.A two-hour programme will also be shown on BBC Two at 2pm on Sunday 6 September. This year these will include a masterclass from Dan and Harry Skelton who will provide a unique insight into how they incorporate techniques and exercises from other equestrian disciplines into the training of top-class racehorses. After the dressage concludes on Thursday, Australias former World Championships silver medallist and leading course-designer Clayton Fredericks will lead a Masterclass dedicated to the intricacies of cross-country course-design while Carl Hester will host a masterclass during the dressage lunchbreak on Friday, 4 September. Carl will work Tom McEwen with his former Tokyo gold medallist Toledo De Kerser; Piggy Marchs former Burghley winning ride Vanir Kamira who is now competing in dressage with young rider Annabelle Wesley; and grand prix dressage rider Abi Lyle.After the conclusion of the CCI5* dressage on Friday, up-and-coming stars from The Howden Way Young Horse Academy will be in the main arena. Burghley TV also offers a replay service, which means subscribers can watch the action again.
