We took over Wirral Riding Centre from Barry in October 2008, over the past few years we have established the riding centre to become one of the biggest and best, BHS approved riding centre in the area. We have several coaches at our disposal to meet everyone’s needs, including RDA coaches. We are the home of Wirral & Chester RDA group, and Foresters Horn RDA group.



We conduct over 4000 rides for RDA riders in the form of group rides and private lessons, making WRC one of the biggest RDA centres in the country.

We are the home of the very active Northwest Special Olympic Equine Team, which was first founded by Mavis Ward, our landlords mother, many years ago.

We are heavily involved in helping our vulnerable community and surrounding communities with our tailor-made Alternative Provision programme in conjunction with the changing lives with horse’s programme run by the BHS.



We also offer alternative provision for students from local schools and local authorities who struggle to cope with the normal regime of daily school. We also offer apprenticeships for young people leaving school and wanting to train to join this industry-this is available fully funded for 16-19 year olds.

We are a busy registered Pony Club centre who meet every week to complete achievement badges, riding tests and learn all about horse and pony care.

We hold monthly showjumping competitions on the last Friday of every month, this ranges from small clear rounds up to intermediate and novelty classes.
