The FEI oversees around 70 Rankings and Standings across all the disciplines, from World Rankings calculated on a monthly basis for Athletes, Horses and/or Combinations, to league, team and regional based standings for Series such as the Longines League of Nations™, FEI World Cup™ and FEI Nations Cup™, as well as a variety of youth categories, among others. 

You will find below a snapshot of the main movers and shakers for the month of May 2025 in the senior World Rankings, as well as a special spotlight on the FEI Dressage World Youth Ranking – Young Riders for this month’s special “Ranking Spotlight”.  

Longines Rankings: Kent Farrington reaches the top 

Kent Farrington (USA) has dethroned long-term leader Henrik von Eckermann as new Jumping World No 1 with 3,269 points. Behind Farrington, Ben Maher (GBR) climbs to number two (3,064 points) followed by former number one, Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann who is now third on 3,026 points. Olympic champion Christian Kukuk (GER) drops to fourth position with 2,928 points, while Steve Guerdat (SUI) maintains his fifth position with a tally of 2,886 points.

Martin Fuchs (SUI – 2,863 points) is now sixth after ascending one spot, followed by Max Kühner (AUT), who has dropped one position, USA’s McLain Ward (USA – 2,709 points) and Richard Vogel (GER – 2,690 points). Closing the top 10 is Ireland’s Cian O’Connor, climbing two positions with 2,675 points.

Longines League of Nations™ Ranking: USA remain at the summit 

For the fourth consecutive month, USA (14,248 points) maintains its position as leader of the ranking. Ireland (13,985 points) remains close to the leaders, only 263 points behind, while France (13,221 points) is now third after surpassing Germany (13,038 points).

Belgium (12,696 points) and Great Britain (12,448 points) are still fifth and sixth, while Switzerland (11,308 points) has surpassed the Netherlands (11,255 points), with both in 7th and 8th positions respectively.  Italy (10,779 points) and Sweden, close the top 10 on 9,290 points.

FEI Dressage World Ranking – Athletes: Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour retains top spot 

Denmark’s Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour remains leader of the FEI Dressage World Ranking (2,024 points) two months after reaching the top. FEI Dressage World Cup™ Champion Charlotte Fry ascends to the second position with 1,908 points, surpassing Isabell Werth (GER), who is now third with 1,856 points. Becky Moody (GBR – 1,737 points) retains her fourth spot while Norway’s Isabel Freese (1,613 points) rounds up the top five after surpassing Dinja van Liere (NED)

FEI Dressage World Ranking - Horses: Mount St John Freestyle still at the top

Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour’s mare, Mount St John Freestyle (2,024 points) remains the leader of the world rankings, closely followed by Glamourdale (1,908 points). Jagerbomb (1,737 points) is third after surpassing DSP Quantaz, now fourth with the same tally as Jagerbomb, while Total Hope OLD is fifth (1,613 points).

FEI Eventing World Athlete Ranking: Boyd Martin rises to number one

Great Britain's dominance in the FEI Eventing World Athlete Ranking has finally come to an end, with Boyd Martin (USA) reaching the top of the ranking with 543 points. Tom McEwen (GBR - 540 points) is now second, followed by compatriot Harry Meade (537 points) in third. New Zealand’s Tim Price drops to fourth with 536 points, ahead of Rosalind Canter (GBR), who drops to fifth place with 487 points.

FEI Driving World Ranking - Four-in-Hand / Pairs / Singles: Marion Vignaud, new leader in Singles

Marion Vignaud (FRA) is the new leader of the FEI Driving World Ranking – Singles after surpassing long-term leader Marie Schiltz (LUX), with 88 points, 11 points ahead of the former number one. The top positions in the FEI Driving World Rankings Four-in-Hand and pairs remain unchanged. In the Four-in-Hand division, reigning World Champion Boyd Exell (AUS) continues to dominate with 248 points. In the Pairs category, Germany’s Dennis Schneiders retains his lead with 110 points. 

FEI Endurance Riders and Trainer World Rankings: Mohammed Ahmad Ali Al Subosi reaches top spot

No movement at the top of the FEI Endurance Riders World Ranking. Salem Hamad Saeed Malhoof Al Kitbi (UAE) remains number one (1,288 points), followed by France's Melody Theolissat with 1,159 points. Her compatriot Virginie Atger completes the top three with 1,094 points. In the Trainers' Ranking, Mohammed Ahmad Ali Al Subosi (UAE – 1,329 points) is the new world number one after surpassing Samuel Bettenfeld (FRA), now second with 1,309 points, and followed by France’s Melody Theolissat, who drops to the third place with 1,166 points, 

FEI Para Dressage World Individual, Team & U18 Rankings: USA dominance continues

Team USA are leading the way in the Para Dressage Rankings: Fiona Howard (2,155 points) and Team USA (1,376 points) maintain the top spot in both Individual and Team rankings. Sara Morganti (ITA) remains in second position, only 41 points behind Howard, while Rixt van der Horst Hart from The Netherlands is now third on 2,096 points. Netherlands (1,354 points) and Germany (1,344 points) are second and third respectively in the Team ranking. Ireland’s Katie Reilly (1,135 points) leads the FEI Para Dressage U18 World Individual Ranking after surpassing Elan Williams (GBR).

Ranking Spotlight: Tessa Kole takes the lead in the FEI Dressage World Youth Ranking – Young Riders

The Netherlands' Tessa Kole has been enjoying success on home soil in Tolbert (NED), securing two podium finishes with her horse, Hexagon’s King Robert.  Thanks to those results, Kole is now leader of the FEI Dressage World Youth Ranking – Young Riders, after climbing from seventh position in just one month.
