The FEI oversees around 70 Rankings and Standings across all the disciplines, from World Rankings calculated on a monthly basis for Athletes, Horses and/or Combinations, to league, team and regional based standings for Series such as the Longines League of Nations™, FEI World Cup™ and FEI Nations Cup™, as well as a variety of youth categories, among others. 

You will find below a snapshot of the main movers and shakers for the month of April 2025 in the senior World Rankings, as well as a special spotlight on the FEI Dressage World Youth Ranking – U25 for this month’s special “Ranking Spotlight”.   

Longines Rankings: Kent Farrington chases Henrik von Eckermann

For yet another month, Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) remains at the top of the Longines Ranking with a total of 3,278 points, followed closely by USA’s Kent Farrington, who is second just 51 points behind of the Swede. Olympic Champion Christian Kukuk (GER) climbs to the third spot with 3,008 points, while Ben Maher is now fourth on 2,957 points. Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat drops to fifth with 2,956 points.

Max Kühner (AUT – 2,818 points) is now sixth after ascending two spots, followed by Martin Fuchs (SUI – 2,788 points), who has dropped three positions, Richard Vogel (GER – 2,763 points) and Simon Delestre (FRA – 2,715 points). Closing the top ten is USA’s McLain Ward, dropping three positions with 2,709 points.

Longines League of Nations™ Ranking – USA consolidates its dominance

After two months at the top, USA (14,066 points) consolidates its position as leader of the ranking, cemented by its victory on home soil in the second leg of the Longines League of Nations™ 2025. Ireland (13,815 points) remains close to the leaders, only 241 points behind, while Germany is third, on 13,324 points.
There are also no movements from fourth to 10th: France (13,128 points), Belgium (12,759 points), Great Britain (12,234 points), Netherlands (11,254 points), Switzerland (11,172 points), Italy (10,726 points) and Sweden, who closes the top 10 on 9,902 points.

FEI Dressage World Ranking – Athletes:  Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour retains top spot

Denmark’s Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour remains leader of the FEI Dressage World Ranking (2,024 points) one month after surpassing Isabell Werth (GER), who is second with 1,855 points. Charlotte Fry (GBR – 2,012 points) is third while Becky Moody (GBR – 1,682 points) keeps on climbing and is now fourth after surpassing Netherland’s Dinja Van Liere (NED – 1,845 points), who rounds up the Top 5.

FEI Dressage World Ranking - Horses: Mount St John Freestyle widens the gap

Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour’s mare, Mount St John Freestyle (2,024 points) remains the leader of the world rankings, followed now by Glamourdale (1,817 points), who has climbed one sport. DSP Quantaz climbs from ninth to third with 1,720 points, while Jagerbomb (1,682 points) is now fourth and Total Hope OLD is fifth (1,595 points).

FEI Eventing World Athlete Ranking: Tom McEwen maintains the number one spot

Great Britain's dominance in the FEI Eventing World Athlete Ranking remains undisputed, with four athletes in the top five. Tom McEwen (552 points) remains the leader, with Tim Price (NZL – 536 points) in second, ahead of Rosalind Canter (GBR), who’s third with 487 points. After his victory in Montelibretti (ITA), Harry Meade (GBR) has climbed three spots to surpass World Champion Yasmin Ingham (GBR) who drops to fifth place with 392 points.

FEI Driving World Ranking - Four-in-Hand / Pairs / Singles: Exell, Schneiders and Schiltz, solid leaders

The top positions in the FEI Driving World Rankings remain unchanged. In the Four-in-Hand division, reigning World Champion Boyd Exell (AUS) continues to dominate with 223 points. In the Pairs category, Germany’s Dennis Schneiders retains his lead with 96 points. Meanwhile, Marie Schiltz of Luxembourg stays at the top of the Singles rankings with 89 points.

FEI Endurance Riders and Trainer World Rankings – Al Kitbi and Bettenfeld maintain number one position

No movement at the top spot of the FEI Endurance Riders World Ranking. Salem Hamad Saeed Malhoof Al Kitbi (UAE) remains number one (1,366 points), followed by France's Melody Theolissat on 1212 points, trading places with her compatriot Virginie Atger with 1184 points, who slips into third place. 

In the Trainers' Ranking, Samuel Bettenfeld (FRA) continues to hold the top spot with 1,324 points, now followed by Melody Theolissat (FRA), who climbs to the second place with 1,272 points, while Mohammed Ahmad Ali Al Subosi (UAE) takes the third spot with 1268 points.

FEI Para Dressage World Individual & Team Ranking – Morganti chases Trunnell’s supremacy

Team USA are staying strong in the Para Dressage Rankings this month: Fiona Howard (2,156 points) and Team USA (1,376 points) maintain the top spot in both Individual and Team rankings. Sara Morganti (ITA) retains her second spot on 2114 points, as well as Rebecca Hart keeping third on 2,105 points. Netherlands (1,356 points) and Germany (1,344 points) are second and third respectively in the Team ranking, same as last month.

Ranking Spotlight – Daphne Van Peperstraten climbs 2 positions in the FEI Dressage U25 Ranking

Daphne Van Peperstraten (NED) breaks into the top 5 of the FEI Dressage World Youth Ranking – U25 category.  After Sarah Aagard Hyrm (DEN) dropped from 5 to 33rd position, and Rowena Weggelaar (NED) slipped to 8th, it left the way clear for Daphne to break into the top 5 with her mount, Greenpoint’s Cupido.
