Latest News: Ros Canter in the driving seat
At the end of the first day’s dressage, British riders lie in first, second and third.
GB’s Olympic gold medallist Ros Canter, on Izilot DHI, have a commanding lead, over 8 points ahead of her nearest rival Pippa Funnell on MCS Maverick.
Tom Jackson with his consistent Capel’s Hollow Drift lies third, but the placings are sure to change with many more stars to come today.
Among them are Ros again with her other horse, Badminton winner and her Paris Team Gold Medal winning ride Lordship’s Graffalo, Badminton winners Caroline Powell with Greenacres Special Cavlier, plus Tim Price and Vitali, who last year led the dressage with a new record score at a five-star event, of 18.7.
The first horse to ride the centre line today is Emily King on Valmy Biats at 9.30am.
WHAT'S HAPPENING TODAY

TODAY'S MUST-SEE MASTERCLASSES
Dressage legend Carl Hester returns to Burghley fresh from his bronze medal winning performance at the Paris Olympics, and he will be delivering another of his popular Masterclasses this lunchtime in the Main Arena.
Later in the day we have a very exciting appearance from William and Pippa Funnel who will be presenting their Masterclass at the conclusion of the day's Dressage.
THE DUBARRY BURGHLEY YOUNG EVENT HORSE FINAL

Head to the House Arena from 9am to catch the Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse Final.
Open to four and five-year old horses, this hugely popular competition is seen by many as an opportunity to watch the stars of the future and - who knows - perhaps a Burghley winner.
